Recently, our team met a 14-year-old who had just been placed with a new guardian. He arrived quiet, avoiding eye contact, and hesitant to smile. When our dental team examined him, we learned why — 18 of his 24 permanent teeth had severe decay.

Seeing clearly, one pair of glasses at a time
A preschool teacher at the North Kansas City Early Childhood Center noticed that four-year-old Maya held books extremely close and struggled during basic classroom activities. The center referred her family to LevelUp, and they brought Maya to our mobile unit for her first-ever eye exam.
