LevelUp Kids to Host Telethon Event with Silent Auction

LevelUp Kids is excited to announce our eight-hour virtual telethon event and our live Brush Up On Fashion event on August 20th. We will be welcoming guests both virtually and in-person to watch the fashion show. This year, we will also have community leaders on the runway.

We want to extend our gratitude to our sponsors for making this event possible. LevelUp Kids plays a huge role in helping low-income families by providing free dental and vision care to their children. With this telethon and fashion show event and the donations it brings in, we know that we will be able to help more children in the Kansas City area with important dental and vision care.

What to Expect at Our Telethon

Our telethon will occur from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on August 20th and the Live Brush Up on Fashion Show will be held at the Argosy Hotel and Casino from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can join our telethon through levelupkidstelethon.com. The day will begin with the telethon at 9 a.m. and the fashion show will be aired on the telethon at noon. At 1:00 p.m., community leaders will be taking the runway.

We will then provide additional virtual talent for the rest of the day. We have a full lineup of events with several entertainment aspects, including a cooking demo and live performances.

Here is a deeper look into the events of the day.

Silent Auction

The silent auction will open on August 16th, which can be found at https://www.32auctions.com/Brush21, and will close at noon on August 20th. During the fashion show, there will be between 300 to 350 people in the ballroom. You can also participate in the fashion show, silent auction and the rest of the events virtually.

We would like to highlight some of our favorite auction items. Just a few of the exciting prizes include:

  • Signed sports memorabilia from the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals teams

  • A trip to Branson donated by a local resident

  • Many exotic vacations that include destinations such as:

    • Italy’s Amalfi Coast

    • Greece and the Greek Islands

    • Iceland

    • Tuscany, Italy

    • Spain

    • Key West, Florida

    • San Francisco and Napa Valley, California

Live Fashion Show

From 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., our fashion show titled “Brush Up On Fashion” and luncheon will take place at Argosy Casino in Riverside. More event details can be found on our website levelupkidsinc.org. The MC for the fashion show will be Matt Flener, the KMBC news anchor. We will also have local weatherman Neville Miller joining us, who has been an MC and model at past events.
